Schedule

All Shifts Available (1st / 2nd / 3rd / Weekend Crew)

Pay

$19.00/hour (+ shift differential: 2nd Shift - $1.25/hr., 3rd Shift - $1.75/hr.)

About the role

The Production Associate will set up, adjust, and operate semi-automated printing machines and prepare items processed for the next routing step. Ensuring that only products meeting company standards are passed onto the next step or packaged to ship to our customers. Must be able to read and understand work instructions, perform basic math functions, and make adjustments and/or minor repairs to equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and adjust machines for proper operation
  • Ensure that the proper supplies (both bill of material and non-bill of material items) are being used for printing
  • Read and follow manufacturing orders to ensure orders are printed according to specifications (quality, accuracy, and layout)
  • Examine product for defects, position of design print clarity, color accuracy, or other flaws and adjust equipment accordingly if needed
  • Maintain sewing equipment including, but not limited to needles, bobbins, lubrication, etc.
  • May package product for shipping, ensuring proper box size and packing procedures are followed and that only products meeting quality standards are packed to ship
  • Complete DCT reporting and necessary daily paperwork as instructed, including quantity produced, scrap, and related information
  • Perform preventative maintenance duties, such as daily cleaning and lubricating
  • Maintain effective working relationships with coworkers
  • Maintain a clean and neat work area
  • Actively participate in and support teamwork and continuous process improvement
  • Demonstrate flexibility and commitment through cross-training and helping other departments consistent with business needs

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • The ability to read, write, and speak English clearly
  • Computer knowledge
  • Must be able to read and understand work instructions, perform basic math functions, and make adjustments to machines and tools
  • Any prior experience within manufacturing, machine operator, or production associate preferred
  • Comfortable standing for long periods of time
