Production Associate(2nd Shift)

Job Summary

McKee Foods is seeking a Production Associate, 2nd Shift to join the Manufacturing team. This entry‑level Packaging Technician or Make‑up Monitor position requires no previous experience and includes on‑the‑job training in a modern manufacturing facility. The role involves working on a high‑speed production line to ensure efficient and precise packaging of snack cakes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform minor line equipment set‑ups and move product trays.
• Conduct product inspections, monitor quality, and remove defects to meet quality and productivity targets.
• Load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves.
• Case‑pack and palletize cartons, placing them into shipping cases and stacking cases onto pallets.
• Operate power hoists and electric pallet jacks to lift heavy objects.

Required Qualifications

• Solid work history demonstrating reliable attendance, safe work practices, effective performance, adaptability, and teamwork.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast‑paced production environment.
• Capability to perform repetitive motions while sitting or standing for the entire shift.
• Regularly lift up to 25 lb, frequently lift/move up to 50 lb, and occasionally move more than 100 lb (with or without accommodation).
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Record product data using a computer.
• Work independently and as part of a team, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• Learn new processes, procedures, and equipment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Maintain a clean work area and practice good personal hygiene.
• Minimize waste while ensuring products meet quality specifications and food safety standards.
• Follow proper safety procedures at all times, including wearing approved uniform (hearing protection, hairnets, slip‑resistant shoes, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience in food manufacturing or a related field.
• Technical training.
• Accurate measurement and conversion skills.
• Troubleshooting ability.
• Previous machine operator experience.

Pay

$22.62 – $23.88 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, plus a $1.00 per hour shift premium for 2nd Shift hours.

Schedule

2nd Shift (Sunday – Thursday, 1:50 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. OR 2:20 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.). On‑site; other days and hours as needed.
