Production Associate - 2nd shift

Responsibilities
- Assemble products and package components using hand and power tools, following verbal and written instructions, including blueprints
- Perform a variety of tasks/roles throughout the day in a steady-paced production environment
- Conduct required quality checks and complete required documentation (e.g., scrap sheets, logs, data gathering, first/last piece inspection reports)
- Set up and operate various machines and equipment
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including maintaining a clean and safe work environment using 6S principles
- Use computer for production-related tasks such as data entry and creating labels
- Operate various material handling equipment such as power pallet jacks, lifts, and packaging wrappers
- Perform multiple tasks and rotate from position to position as required in the production process
- Use appropriate PPE for the task assigned
- Regular attendance and ability to work overtime

Requirements
- Successfully pass an aptitude test covering basic math principles, reading directions, and understanding diagrams
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. on a regular basis and stand for long periods of time
- Work overtime as needed
- Ability to read blueprints and understand verbal and written instructions
- Able to use hand/power tools, measuring equipment such as gages, calipers, indicators, scales, and tape measures
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Ability to work with computers, label makers, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous work experience in a production or industrial environment
- Ability to learn new tasks and train in other positions
