Production Associate - 2nd Shift

About the role

This is an entry-level position that assists operators engaged in processing materials.

Responsibilities

• Assists operators at the coil loading and packaging ends of the line and as needed.
• Builds pallets and shipping containers using hand and power tools.
• Bands and palletizes metal coils and/or metal sheets, placing tags/labels on finished products.
• Performs quality checks to verify proper lengths, widths, and weights using the proper tools.
• Detects and reports faulty operations or defective materials.
• Moves or carries parts, equipment, or materials.
• Reads and understands production orders.
• Wraps and unwraps materials.
• Maintains housekeeping of work areas.
• Operates a sit-down forklift.
• Achieves production goals while complying with all safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift (training and certification provided regardless of previous experience).
• Ability to read documents and interpret facts and draw conclusions.
• Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing.
• Good communication, organization, and time management skills.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Working Conditions

• Production facility where ambient temperature may fluctuate and noise levels may be increased.
• Flexible to the possibility of overtime and weekend hours when required.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Personal Protective Equipment is regularly required for this position and includes:

• Steel or composite toe boots
• Safety glasses
• Cut-resistant gloves and arm guards
• Hearing protection

Location

This role is performed onsite at our facility located at 10551 Pac Rd, Tyler, TX 75707.

Pay

An hourly rate of $20.49.
