Production Associate 2 - Unloader 2nd Shift
About the role
Cornwall Building Brands is a leading manufacturer of exterior building products for residential and low-rise non-residential buildings in North America. Headquartered in Cary, N.C., we serve residential and commercial customers across the new construction and Repair & Remodel (R&R) markets. Our market-leading portfolio of products spans vinyl windows, vinyl siding, stone veneer, metal roofing, metal wall systems and metal accessories.
Responsibilities
- Operating ARPAC / Packing machine
- Lifting and transferring window units from conveyor into pallets or shipping carts
- Performing quality checks on windows and identifying any defects or deviations from standards
- Sorting out window units and palletizing according to types, sizes as well as wrapping if necessary
- Accurately counting upon palletizing, properly stacking / storing
- Inspecting windows for any damages
- Moving pallets / carts in and out of production work area using appropriate tools and equipment
- Following safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
- Performing 5S & housekeeping as expected
- During line stoppages, performing downtime duties assigned to this workstation
Qualifications
- Able to lift 50 pounds regularly and stand for duration of entire shift
- Must cross-train and rotate on various workstations within line/complex
- Basic understanding of machinery operation and production processes
- Ability to measure lengths accurately to ¼
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to inspect products for quality and damages
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift moderate weights
- Ability to move carts and pallets in and out of production areas
- Ability to read and interpret common, productivity reports, and written instructions
- 1 - 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
