Production Associate | 1st Shift

About the role

The Production Associate I position requires strong attention to detail, excellent teamwork skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Packaging products according to specifications
• Utilizing order cards and verifying package integrity
• Ensuring product meets all specifications (weight, piece count, etc.)
• Learning and utilizing electronic equipment as required
• Maintaining work area and equipment for efficiency and safety
• Assembling, weighing, taping, labeling, coding, scanning, and palletizing boxes as necessary
• Working safely for both self and others
• Complying with GMP, SSOP, and SQF requirements
• Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Reporting safety concerns immediately
• Attending and successfully completing required safety and production trainings
• Performing other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to follow detailed instructions
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Positive attitude and ability to work under pressure

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a similar role preferred

Pay

Starting hourly rate for this position is $18.00 per hour. Pay is based on job-related experience.

Schedule

1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm

Location

This position is at the St. Michael facility full time.

Physical and Environmental Factors

• Requires ability to lift up to 30 lbs. regularly and occasionally up to 60 lbs.
• Requires ability to stand for the entirety of the shift (minus breaks/rest periods)
• Subject to temperatures ranging from 30 degrees to 50 degrees constantly
• Subject to noise levels higher than 85 decibels
• Requires wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
