Production Assistant - Seasonal

TelevisaUnivision is seeking a seasonal Production Assistant with strong news judgment to join our team in Miami, FL. This role involves shooting, editing, and covering breaking news in a fast-paced environment.

About You

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly to breaking news: shoot interviews, b-roll, edit, and set up live shots
• Cover newsworthy events in all types of weather and meet daily deadlines
• Collaborate with talent, photographers, producers, technical directors, and news directors to take stories from concept to completion
• Maintain assigned equipment and vehicles, ensuring safe operation
• Improvise and troubleshoot as needed in dynamic situations
• Operate digital cameras to shoot interviews and use a LiveU backpack

Requirements

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Working knowledge of television news photography and technology
• Ability to lift and carry broadcast video equipment (approximately 45 pounds)
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
• Familiarity with the Miami area
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and irregular hours
• Ability to multitask, work under extreme pressure, and communicate effectively
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
