Production Assistant

SUMMARY

Start strong as a Production Assistant, contributing to daily production through material handling, equipment support, and setup tasks. This role builds a solid foundation in key operational skills and prepares you for advancement into specialized areas like fabrication, laser, and press operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Help keep production running smoothly by moving and staging materials where they’re needed most.
• Assist with machine setup and support operations across multiple departments.
• Take on hands-on tasks like inspecting, finishing, sorting, and packaging parts.
• Keep workflows moving by transporting materials, scrap, and supplies throughout the plant.
• Learn alongside experienced operators while building foundational manufacturing skills.
• Maintain a clean workspace that supports safety and efficiency.
• Avoid inaccuracies in materials and production tracking through ERP systems.
• Contribute to team success by meeting quality and productivity goals.
• Commit to safe work practices every day.

Education, Work Experience, and Proficiencies

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One to two years of prior manufacturing experience is preferred, with an emphasis on material handling, machine support, or general production tasks.
• Candidates should have the ability to follow instructions, learn processes, and work effectively under supervision.
• Basic math skills and familiarity with measurement tools are expected.
• The role requires the physical capability to safely perform tasks such as lifting, moving materials, and operating shop equipment as trained.
• A strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to cross-train across multiple production areas are essential for success.

Physical Demands
