Production Artist/Designer
About the Role
The Creative Group is the heartbeat of our advertising innovation, home to a collection of specialized teams that drive best-in-class creative solutions for our partners. Under the Rock Studios banner, these specialized capabilities are unified into a singular, powerhouse destination for advertisers. We are seeking a Production Designer who acts as the "connective tissue" for our creative output. This role is not just about execution; it is about ensuring that our high-level concepts are brought to life with precision, scalability, and consistency across all platforms. Majority of the work will be the execution of Peacock ad products and multiple high-visibility Ad Sales Trade Marketing events throughout the year.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Seamless Execution: Translate high-level creative directions from our specialized teams into polished, production-ready assets. Ensure all deliverables—from B2B branding (CES, Upfront, Cannes Lions) to custom creative executions—consistently reflect the Rock Studios standard.
- Brand Stewardship: Serve as an internal Client for the Rock Studios visual language, ensuring that while teams remain specialized, our external-facing identity remains seamless and integrated.
- Workflow Optimization: Partner with Art Directors and Creative Directors to refine production processes. You are the architect of our asset lifecycle, ensuring projects move from kickoff to final delivery with high efficiency and uncompromising quality.
- Technical Excellence: Maintain rigorous standards in typography, composition, and component-based design systems. You are the "go-to" for complex file management and production-ready digital/print assets.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Serve as a pivotal link between strategists, writers, product teams, and specialized design leads. Your role is to ensure that "show meets business" in every single asset produced.
Qualifications
- Production Expertise: 3-5+ years of experience in production design, with a portfolio that showcases high-volume, high-quality output (photo compositing, layout, and complex digital assets).
- Design Systems Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and a deep understanding of how to maintain brand consistency within complex systems.
- Strategic Execution: Ability to understand the business objective behind the design. You don't just execute; you improve the efficiency and impact of our creative packages.
- Agile Mindset: Proven ability to manage multiple high-stakes assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. You thrive when balancing tight deadlines with the need for polished, accurate work.
- Collaborative Leadership: A team-first mindset with the maturity to balance diverse disciplines. You are a proactive problem solver who communicates clearly and owns the project from start to finish.
- Advertising Acumen: A deep interest in the media landscape. Understanding the power of a "unified" brand versus "specialized" team dynamics is a major plus.
Desired Characteristics
- Strategic Execution: The ideal candidate understands that great design is a business solution. They connect creative choices to broader business objectives, not just aesthetics.
- Resilience: The ideal candidate thrives under pressure. They maintain calm, accuracy, and a positive "can-do" attitude even when priorities shift or deadlines compress.
- Ownership: The ideal candidate takes full accountability for their work. They do not wait for direction—they anticipate needs and proactively solve problems from kickoff to final delivery.
- Collaborative: They work with empathy and respect across all disciplines, ensuring a supportive team environment.
- Detail-Oriented Vision: The ideal candidate balances technical precision with a clear perspective on the "big picture." They understand how each pixel contributes to the overarching strategic vision.
