This internship gives college students hands-on experience in seed production while building the technical, analytical, and professional skills needed for a potential career in the seed industry. Role Overview Responsibilities As a Production Agronomy Intern, you will work alongside an Agronomist and other seed production professionals to support the safe, efficient, and effective production of high-quality seed. You will gain practical field experience and contribute to day-to-day operations through responsibilities such as: Supporting seed production operations and field management activitiesAssisting with crop scouting and integrated pest management (IPM) activitiesConducting field trials, research studies, and data collectionEvaluating economic injury thresholds and supporting agronomic recommendationsIdentifying weeds, insects, pests, and crop diseasesMonitoring crop development and communicating field observations and progressCollaborating with agronomy, production, and other cross-functional teams You will also complete a capstone project assigned by your Field Operations Manager. The project will allow you to apply what you learn, strengthen your technical and problem-solving skills, and make a meaningful contribution to Vylor's seed production operations.
