Job Summary
We are seeking a Production Administration Specialist to support production departmental clerical, data analysis, and special projects tasks.
Job Requirements
- Perform clerical duties and various assignments related to production control as assigned by the plant manager.
- Provide cross-functional administration support to facilitate seamless information flow.
- Audit and adjust production schedules based on a continuous analysis of customer forecasts to maintain optimal inventory levels and meet On-Time Shipment.
- Develop mitigation strategies to achieve On-time Shipment goal.
- Expedite and follow “Hot” or “Special” orders through each process, reporting status and exceptions to the Plant Manager.
- Coordinate ship quantities with the shipping department.
- Cooky with customers to gather shipping information and coordinate with logistics companies.
- Effectively compute and analyze daily key production metrics (OEE, On-Time, etc.).
- Ensure data accuracy/integrity of labor reports & job costing.
- Participate in total quality management projects to achieve continuous improvement.
- Maintain an acceptable attendance record.
- Report any safety or quality concerns immediately to the department manager.
- Comply with all APP, Inc. safety rules and company policies.
- Ensure any accident or injury is promptly reported.
- Wear proper Personal Protection Equipment in work area at all times.
- Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the APP Leadership.
Skill Requirements
- In compliance with ITAR regulations, must be a US Citizen or US Person.
- High School or equivalent.
- 4+ years’ experience in an office environment.
- Proficient English (reading, writing, verbal and comprehend).
- Advanced computer literacy, typing skill, Microsoft Office, Excel, Power-Point.
- Statistics (identifying trends).
- Basic Math.
- Must be detailed oriented.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Able to work in a demanding fast paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering degree.
- Manufacturing ERP system experience.
- Associate’s Degree in a related field.
- 1+ year in a manufacturing setting.
- Bilingual Spanish a plus.
