Job Summary

We are seeking a Production Administration Specialist to support production departmental clerical, data analysis, and special projects tasks.

Job Requirements

  • Perform clerical duties and various assignments related to production control as assigned by the plant manager.
  • Provide cross-functional administration support to facilitate seamless information flow.
  • Audit and adjust production schedules based on a continuous analysis of customer forecasts to maintain optimal inventory levels and meet On-Time Shipment.
  • Develop mitigation strategies to achieve On-time Shipment goal.
  • Expedite and follow “Hot” or “Special” orders through each process, reporting status and exceptions to the Plant Manager.
  • Coordinate ship quantities with the shipping department.
  • Cooky with customers to gather shipping information and coordinate with logistics companies.
  • Effectively compute and analyze daily key production metrics (OEE, On-Time, etc.).
  • Ensure data accuracy/integrity of labor reports & job costing.
  • Participate in total quality management projects to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Maintain an acceptable attendance record.
  • Report any safety or quality concerns immediately to the department manager.
  • Comply with all APP, Inc. safety rules and company policies.
  • Ensure any accident or injury is promptly reported.
  • Wear proper Personal Protection Equipment in work area at all times.
  • Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the APP Leadership.

Skill Requirements

  • In compliance with ITAR regulations, must be a US Citizen or US Person.
  • High School or equivalent.
  • 4+ years’ experience in an office environment.
  • Proficient English (reading, writing, verbal and comprehend).
  • Advanced computer literacy, typing skill, Microsoft Office, Excel, Power-Point.
  • Statistics (identifying trends).
  • Basic Math.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Able to work in a demanding fast paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Mechanical Engineering degree.
  • Manufacturing ERP system experience.
  • Associate’s Degree in a related field.
  • 1+ year in a manufacturing setting.
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus.
