Essential duties and responsibilities
- Trouble shoot field issues to reproduce and when possible, identify the root cause
- Work with the rest of the team as needed to create scripts or procedures to correct problems in deployed systems
- Provide clear and timely communication to keep all relevant parties informed
- Document information and transfer knowledge so that fewer issues are escalated from Technical Support to engineering
- Lead internal and customer-facing calls as needed
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related subject or equivalent experience
- Good oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt, multi-task, and manage changing priorities
- Self-motivated, ability to learn and apply new skills quickly
- Knowledge of the data center domain and DCIM tools
- Working experience with Linux based environments (RHEL/Rocky preferred)
- Java, ANSI SQL, and general programming skills
- Experienced in using PostgreSQL, Jira, or GitHub
- Experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware, Nutanix, docker)
- Scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Ruby, Python, Perl)
