Job Summary

BETA Technologies is seeking a Product Structure Management & Configuration Management Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of BOM management, configuration principles, and experience in aerospace or regulated design and manufacturing.

About the Role

This role involves managing detailed bill of materials across various stages of design, coordinating changes, and maintaining accurate configurations for different purposes. The candidate will also be responsible for authoring and maintaining procedures related to BOM management and configuration change management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage detailed bill of materials (BOM) for all levels of design, including eBOM, mBOM, as-built BOM, as-delivered BOM, and in-service BOM.
  • Coordinate, track, and status changes within the bill of material.
  • Author and maintain procedures related to BOM management, BOM release, establishing baselines, and BOM traceability.
  • Apply product (aircraft or motor) effectivity to end item units and manage configuration effectivity in a certification/regulatory environment.
  • Develop training and provide detailed instructions to assist others with product structure development.
  • Apply knowledge of configuration management processes, SAE-649, and 3D digital thread/MBD environments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace or other regulated design and manufacturing industry.
  • A BS in a relevant engineering or quality discipline or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience with PLM tools such as 3DXperience, and software for requirements, test, and change management like DOORS, Polarion, and JIRA.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software, particularly Catia/Enovia.
  • Strong skills in MS Excel for analyzing and comparing product structures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers.
  • High energy, self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented personality.
  • Familiarity with 3D digital thread and/or model-based definition (MBD) environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work in an aerospace production environment with significant onsite work at BETA Technologies locations in Burlington, VT.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of product structure management within a PLM tool, preferably 3DXperience.
  • Knowledge of changes to the product structure, including applying product (aircraft or motor) effectivity to end item units.
  • Experience with configuration and change management principles for hardware and software.
  • Experience in developing training and providing detailed instructions to assist others with product structure development.
  • Experience with SAE-649 and configuration management processes.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software, particularly Catia/Enovia.
  • Experience with MS Excel for analyzing and comparing product structures.

Pay

$125,000 - $175,000 USD
