About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Product Strategy, Autonomous Laboratories to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will shape the strategic direction for advanced laboratory solutions by assessing how AI, automation, and digital workflows are transforming laboratory operations. The position will partner closely with scientists, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies, evaluate opportunities, and translate market and customer insights into investment priorities. This is a highly visible role focused on building a customer-centric strategy that informs product decisions and long-term growth.
Responsibilities
- Assess the impact of AI, automation, and digital workflows on laboratory operations
- Evaluate new products and partnerships, developing strategic and financial cases
- Refine the company's vision for autonomous laboratories by synthesizing market trends
- Engage with scientists and leaders to identify operational inefficiencies
- Synthesize customer feedback into strategic requirements and investment recommendations
- Partner with business groups to translate insights into actionable product decisions
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to align teams around customer-centric solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific, engineering, business, or related discipline; PhD or MBA preferred
- 12+ years of experience in product strategy, management, scientific research, or related fields
- Experience in life sciences, analytical instrumentation, diagnostics, or biotechnology preferred
- Ability to translate complex market trends into actionable business strategies
- Proven track record of delivering results and collaborating with senior leaders and cross-functional teams
