About the role
In this role you will support the global portfolio of Industrial resins including formaldehyde, phenol, UFC technologies and applications. You will have oversight of domestic and international regulatory needs from development to commercialization and customer regulatory support. You will be critical in various daily product safety activities including Hazard Communication reviews, GHS, TSCA, DOT, FDA, REACH and REACH-like registrations.
Responsibilities
- Support maintenance and updates of the company’s Americas ERP and SDS authoring systems.
- Respond to routine and moderately complex internal and external customer inquiries on regulatory matters including REACH Compliance, Chemical Inventory Reviews, RoHS Letters, VOC/HAPs, and various other regulations.
- Assist with maintaining EPA TSCA oversight and compliance training for 11 manufacturing facilities, including Inventory, Import, Export, and CDR activities.
- Shared responsibility for preparing and/or reviewing Safety Data Sheets and labels to ensure compliance with regional regulatory product classifications.
- Shared responsibility for Federal and State customer inquiries.
- Shared responsibility for the review and approval of new raw materials and vendors and for the maintenance of the related data in the company ERP and SDS authoring systems.
- Shared responsibility for regulatory compliance of existing and new products as subject-matter expert on applicable product and chemical regulations in the assigned regions.
- Shared responsibility for FDA food contact, drug, and resin coatings reviews, registrations, and determinations.
- Shared responsibility for Product Stewardship Compliance ERP systems work processes and standardizations.
- Support the implementation of current and new chemical regulations in assigned regions.
- Support Responsible Care Management Systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Health Science, Biology, Toxicology, or a related technical field, with relevant industry experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 4+ years relevant experience in product stewardship and/or regulatory compliance including SDS/Label authoring and Dangerous Goods classification for all modes; EU and International experience is a plus.
- Computer skills (SAP required, SDS authoring software such as ExEss and/or Intelligent Authoring experience a plus).
- Working knowledge of analytical and reaction chemistry a plus.
- Experience working with international and multifunctional teams a plus.
- Multi-lingual a plus.
- Willingness for 10% travel.

This role is based in Decatur, GA, located just east of downtown Atlanta. Decatur is a vibrant city known for its attractions, entertainment, year-round festivals, and proximity to downtown Atlanta’s cultural and recreational sites.
