Product Security Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Product Security Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will focus on strengthening the security of AI-enabled products and internal systems through offensive testing, custom tooling, and automated analysis. You will partner closely with engineering teams to uncover vulnerabilities, accelerate remediation, and improve the overall security posture across the organization. The position also includes leading red team exercises and helping shape how generative AI is used safely in security workflows. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $154,000+ annually Responsibilities Build and maintain custom AI-driven security scanners for vulnerability detection across products. Lead red team exercises on internal AI systems to test their security robustness. Automate vulnerability triage, validation, and remediation workflows using AI. Collaborate with engineering teams to prioritize and verify fixes for critical vulnerabilities. Mentor junior security engineers on incorporating AI into offensive security practices. Qualifications 3+ years in application security or offensive security, with a focus on custom tooling development. Hands-on experience with LLMs or frontier models for automating security tasks. Proven experience red teaming AI systems, including prompt injection and jailbreak testing. In-depth knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and SANS Top 25 vulnerabilities, with hands-on exploitation experience. Proficient in Python, Go, or similar languages, with the ability to write production-ready security tools. Skilled in responsibly utilizing generative AI, ensuring human oversight in outputs.
