About the role
The Product Security Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the security of our products and services. This includes conducting security assessments, developing security policies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks.
Responsibilities
- Conduct security assessments and penetration testing on products and services
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures
- Collaborate with product development teams to identify and mitigate security risks
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and technologies
- Work with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to relevant regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in a security engineering role
- Experience with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, OWASP
- Knowledge of common security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Qualifications
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with cloud-based security solutions
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and security practices
- Experience with threat modeling and risk assessment
Skills
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++
- Experience with security testing tools such as Burp Suite, Nessus, or Wireshark
- Understanding of ethical hacking principles and practices
- Experience with security architecture and design
