Responsibilities
- Develop, apply, revise, maintain, and test quality/reliability standards to ensure alignment with customer expectations.
- Design and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the quality/reliability of products.
- Develop and implement quality/reliability test plans and perform failure analysis.
- Perform FMECA, document CRAMS, and work with suppliers and engineers to enable CRAMS test plans; perform PQP at supplier.
- Conduct reliability modeling and ERAMS.
- Gather operational and test data, evaluate results, and prepare documentation for testing.
- Develop methods, parameters, project methodology, and project proposals.
- Evaluate work methods, procedures, and policies to ensure world-class quality standards are attainable.
- May be accountable for projects/programs, including developing methods, parameters, project methodology, and project proposals.
- Coach, mentor, and conduct training for targeted organizations on quality and reliability processes.
Requirements
- MS in Mechanical, Materials, or Electrical Engineering, or Physics with 2-4 years of relevant industry experience.
- Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) preferred.
- Demonstrates expanded conceptual knowledge in own discipline and broadens capabilities.
- Understands key business drivers and uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
- Solves problems in straightforward situations using technical experience and judgment.
- Impacts the quality of own work and the work of others on the team; works within guidelines and policies.
- Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.
