Product Owner, Technical - AI Finance
About BJAK
BJAK’s mission is to create smarter ways for people to plan, save and grow their money. Founded in 2019, BJAK built the first mobile-first insurance platform in Southeast Asia, making insurance accessible online to millions. Today, it is the leading insurance platform in the region and is expanding into spending, saving, investing, exchanging, traveling, and more. The company’s goal is to help people get more from their money every day. BJAK operates with teams across offices and remote locations, comprising over 20 nationalities, and values builders who are passionate about creating next-generation financial products rather than maintaining the status quo.
About the role
We are seeking product managers to own product areas within BJAK’s AI Finance division. This role is ideal for builders who understand users, define product direction, collaborate with engineering and design, launch quickly, and continuously improve post-release.
What you’ll own
- Own product areas across insurance, payments, savings, investing, travel, or other financial services.
- Define user problems, product scope, success metrics, roadmaps, and launch plans.
- Work closely with engineering, design, data, operations, compliance, and business teams.
- Simplify complex financial products into intuitive customer journeys.
- Use data, feedback, research, and production issues to inform product decisions.
- Launch features, monitor performance, and drive iterations.
- Balance trade-offs between speed, user experience, business impact, compliance, and operational complexity.
What we’re looking for
- Experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, founder, growth/product operator, or similar role.
- Strong product sense and the ability to simplify complex workflows.
- Experience collaborating with engineers and designers to ship real products.
- Comfort with metrics, user feedback, experiments, and post-launch learning.
- Strong writing, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
- High ownership and the ability to drive work with limited guidance.
- Experience in fintech, insurance, payments, consumer apps, or high-growth products is a strong advantage.
The kind of builder we want
- Starts from user problems, not feature lists.
- Makes decisions with incomplete information.
- Knows how to ship quickly and learn after launch.
- Works well with engineering without hiding behind process.
- Is honest about what changed because of their work versus wider team effort.
This role is not for people who
- Only write decks and do not drive execution.
- Cannot work deeply with engineering.
- Need perfect data before making decisions.
- Launch features and then stop caring.
- Exaggerate business impact without understanding attribution.
Location
This role is remote, but candidates must be based in the US.
Language
English is the main working language across global teams; strong English communication is required.
Interview process
Our process is designed to move fast:
- Online assessment or practical task
- Role-specific interview

For strong candidates, we aim to complete the process and make an offer within one week from the start of the interview process. Candidates who complete assessments quickly will be prioritized.
