About the Role
The Product Owner owns the functional vision and roadmap for the ServiceNow platform as it relates to Managed Services. This role ensures the platform evolves in alignment with ServiceNow capabilities, business needs, and operational priorities.
This role is also responsible for staying current with new ServiceNow features and translating those capabilities into actionable opportunities for the Managed Services business.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the ServiceNow product backlog for Managed Services.
- Translate business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Stay current on ServiceNow releases, features, and roadmap changes.
- Educate Managed Services leadership on new ServiceNow capabilities and use cases.
- Prioritize work based on business impact, risk, and operational value.
- Partner with Architects and Developers to ensure solutions meet business intent.
- Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release reviews.
- Act as the voice of the Managed Services BU for platform decisions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Platform Lead.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow and ITSM processes.
- Experience working with technical teams in an agile environment.
- Preferred ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), or other relevant ServiceNow certifications.
- Experience working within Managed Services or MSP environments, supporting Service Desk, NOC, or SOC operations.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment across technical and business teams.
- Experience supporting platform enhancements, integrations, or automation initiatives in a complex operational environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into actionable requirements and guide decision-making.
Pay
Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure, and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.
Estimated Pay Range: $80,000 USD - $111,000 USD
