About the Department

The Product Orderability group is responsible for product, software, and services implementations in CRM, ERP, and Product Lifecycle Management Systems. With a global presence in all regions (North America, Europe, and Asia), the group collaborates with cross-functional teams—including Sales, Go-to-Market, Product Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Services, and IT—to define and implement end-to-end product offers and configurations. The team focuses on improving user experiences for customers, partners, resellers, and Salesforce while driving process automation, self-service, and AI-based solutions to reduce product launch cycle time. The group is also leading a major Product transformation by implementing tools like Oracle PDH and MDM to centralize product data management with quality and governance across all portfolios and regions.

About the Role

Motorola is undergoing a major digital transformation to centralize product data using a cutting-edge hybrid solution: Oracle Product Data Hub (PDH) and Informatica MDM. As we approach the rollout of Phase 1, we are seeking a dynamic, data-savvy Product Owner to champion this platform from the business side. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business strategy and IT execution, ensuring steady-state operational excellence and continuous enhancement of Phase 1 while defining the roadmap for future phases of this multi-year implementation. You will also ensure data consistency, quality, and PDH/MDM tool adoption across business teams, including downstream systems like CPQ, OCC, and EBS. This role involves partnering with the Product Orderability team to design, execute, test, and deploy both steady-state and future phases.

Responsibilities

  • Product Vision & Roadmap Management: Define, maintain, and prioritize the business backlog for the hybrid Oracle PDH/Informatica MDM platform. Translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements.
  • Phased Implementation Leadership: Partner closely with IT to transition Phase 1 into steady state while leading business readiness, scoping, and execution for future implementation phases over the next 2–4 years.
  • Data Governance & Quality Advocacy: Establish and enforce data governance policies, data standards, and quality metrics. Ensure master product data remains accurate, consistent, and secure across all cross-functional systems.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between IT/development teams and core business stakeholders (Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing) to ensure the MDM solution meets diverse business needs.
  • Change Management & Support: Drive adoption of the new platform across the organization. Design and deliver training, create documentation, and serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for ongoing business support and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Data Analyst, specifically working with Master Data Management (MDM) or Product Data Management systems.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of data structures, data governance principles, data quality management, and data lifecycle processes.
  • Prior experience with Oracle Product Data Hub (PDH) and/or Informatica MDM is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks, managing backlogs in tools like Jira or Azure DevOps, and participating in sprint ceremonies.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language and vice versa.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Up to 10% travel requirement to the Chicago/Schaumburg office.

Pay

Target base salary range: $80,000 - $95,000 USD. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Benefits

  • Incentive Bonus Plans
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits
  • 401K with Company Match
  • 10 Paid Holidays
  • Generous Paid Time Off Packages
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan
  • Paid Parental & Family Leave
