Product Owner – Oracle FSDF/DFCS

About the Role

We are seeking a Product Owner for our banking client that is migrating from Oracle FSDF to DCFS. This individual will lead functional data mapping, requirements refinement, and backlog prioritization efforts. The role bridges business, Oracle product teams, systems of record (SOR), analysts, and downstream consumers to ensure banking data is accurately sourced, mapped, transformed, and delivered into target-state reporting platforms. This is not a technical Product Owner or developer role. The client needs a highly functional PO who understands banking data, source-to-target mapping, Oracle FSDF concepts, and can challenge assumptions, facilitate discovery conversations, and drive alignment across stakeholders.

Top 3 Priorities in First 90 Days

• Expand and onboard new banking data sources into Oracle DFCS environment from FSDF environment.
• Lead source-to-target mapping discovery sessions and define attribute-level requirements.
• Partner with Oracle, SOR teams, and analysts to validate mappings, identify data gaps, and ensure reporting requirements are met.

Required Skills

• Functional Product Owner experience managing data-focused backlogs and priorities – not a developer or technical PO
• Oracle FSDF experience (DFCS preferred)
• Understanding of Oracle dimensions, hierarchies, tables, and attributes
• Has led source-to-target mapping initiatives in a banking environment
• Understands target-state data models and how banking data maps into Oracle FSDF
• Should understand deposits, loans, or a lease
• Experience facilitating requirements and mapping workshops
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies, Scrum, and Kanban
• Experience in user stories, and acceptance criteria development
• Strong data validation, reconciliation, and defect triage skills
