About the role
The Product Owner leads the vision, development, and continuous improvement of Sun's AWS platform by enhancing cloud-based capabilities to support scalable, secure, and high-performing digital solutions across the organization. This individual shapes the product roadmap, prioritizes development efforts, and ensures AWS services and cloud products deliver measurable value to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Define, communicate, and prioritize product roadmaps, feature enhancements, and release plans based on customer insights, business goals, stakeholder input, and technology trends.
- Gather and translate feedback from residents, business stakeholders, and internal users into actionable product features and requirements.
- Work closely with the business analyst and development team in an agile environment to ensure clear requirements and timely delivery of features.
- Partner with UX/UI designers to deliver intuitive and elegant digital experiences.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and champion for portal functionality and digital resident engagement within the company.
- Monitor usage metrics, user feedback, and market trends to inform ongoing enhancements and innovations.
- Continuously advance AWS platform capabilities to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency across systems.
- May expand responsibilities to lead additional cloud initiatives, such as platform modernization, data infrastructure, or AI/ML enablement on AWS.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field (Required).
- 5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or related role in digital product development (Required).
- Experience working with cloud platforms, especially AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway) (Required).
- Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Familiarity with web and mobile app development and platform best practices (iOS).
- Excellent skills in requirements gathering, road mapping, user story creation, and agile development.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Adept at interpreting analytics and customer feedback to drive product decisions.
- Familiarity with integration points between AWS and enterprise systems such as ERP, data platforms, and internal applications (Preferred).
- Understanding of secure portal login experiences, digital payment tools, self-service workflows, and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance user experience (Preferred).
