About the role
The Campaign Center of Excellence (COE) Product Owner leverages agile methodology to manage development and delivery activities for omnichannel products and solutions. Responsibilities include:
- Engaging with product leaders and stakeholders to assess and represent Features, OKRs, and priorities to the agile team
- Decomposing features into story cards and leading the building of the product backlog
- Setting sprint priorities and providing product demos
- Assisting with mitigating delivery and providing stakeholders with transparency into day-to-day execution
- Maximizing adoption of the Omnichannel ecosystem by Sanofi GBUs and affiliates to provide consistent digital experiences to HCPs, ensure operational best practices, reduce costs from third-party vendors, and optimize internal resources
This role interacts directly with:
- Product Line Owners within the Accelerator Omnichannel marketing team
- Global GTMC executives for operational alignment
- Affiliate heads of GTMC for commitment to adoption
- GTMC country teams to ensure optimized use of campaign tools
- CDO teams (UX, data, architecture) for strategic direction of engagement core models
- GBUs commercial leadership and country teams for priorities and business impact
- Product line owners to review and provide strategic guidance on omnichannel solutions, features, and user stories
Responsibilities
As the subject matter expert of marketing automation platforms and campaign data management:
- Support several internal business areas within campaign automation/orchestration systems (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud) for omnichannel journeys: email, SMS, WhatsApp, push, apps, etc.
- Ensure proper training materials and support resources are available for users of adopted products or services
- Build and interpret metrics, providing guidance on best practices
- Coordinate and check the maintenance, integrity, and security of the platform
- Oversee and implement the team’s development, configuration (SAP, data extensions, automations, etc.), and data integration/ingestion activities in line with global architecture to reduce duplication and increase adoption
- Manage technical debt reduction
- Collaborate with different platform product owners to ensure smooth integration and functionality of adopted components
- Validate completeness of approved features for deployment and lead validation of feature priority and implementation sequencing timeline
- Develop and maintain procedures related to adopted products or services
As the Agilist:
- Participate in product lifecycle activities, especially requirements gathering through production and release, and manage deployment at scale
- Manage and ensure cross-impacted teams are identified early and included in solution discussions; manage impact assessment timelines
- Manage priorities with other product owners where cross-product conflicts exist
- Provide stakeholders with transparency into execution progress and blockers
- Manage the COE Campaign POD team product backlog and define sprint goals by consulting with scrum teams during development and deployment
- Provide clarification and context, confirm user story acceptance criteria, and accept completed user stories
- Track key product performance indicators (KPIs) and define release-specific success metrics
- Log open risks, issues, questions, and decisions against features
- Clearly document ongoing changes to feature scope, prioritization, and requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 3+ years of product management experience or equivalent focusing on digital technologies and service-based integrations
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, including professional grammar and demeanor
- Self-starter who develops plans and is committed to hitting delivery dates
- Ability to develop working relationships with individuals at all levels of an organization
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Multinational thinking and working
- Strong background in Agile Scrum practices and associated tools
- Fundamental understanding of database technologies
- Ability to collaborate with clients to design customer journeys and associated data models
- Experience with Marketing Cloud Studios & Builders, especially Email Studio, Content Builder, Cloud Pages, and Automation Studio
- Experience with Salesforce CRM (Sales & Service Cloud, Communities)
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Administrator, Platform App Builder, Sales/Service Cloud Consultant, Marketing Cloud Email Specialist) preferred
- Ability to translate business needs to technology teams
- Experience with desktop and mobile web, mobile apps, and alerts
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in one of the following:
- IT-focused degrees (such as Computer Science, Data Science) to provide a technical foundation for managing IT products
- Business or digital marketing studies, with an emphasis on CRM and marketing automation preferred
