About the Role
We are looking for a Product Owner to join our team. This person will be responsible for understanding business needs and priorities at a strategic level while providing communication and coordination between relevant business partners and development teams. The Product Owner is responsible for delivering each stage of development and the final product in alignment with stakeholder expectations.
Responsibilities
- Work in alignment with stakeholders to define the vision for the development team. Use that vision and tools such as product roadmaps as both a strategic guide for stakeholders and an execution plan.
- Manage the product backlog based on overall strategy and business objectives. Anticipate dependencies to inform the sequence of development.
- Prioritize needs by balancing scope, budget, and time, weighing priorities based on the needs and objectives of stakeholders.
- Oversee the stages of development, including working with stakeholders to plan the next steps, refining the process with the team, identifying areas for improvement, and supporting the sprint.
- Anticipate client needs using tools such as customer journey mapping to create a shared vision for the customer experience.
- Act as the primary liaison and key communicator linking and creating alignment between stakeholders and development teams.
- Evaluate product progress at each iteration. The Product Owner is accountable for each stage of the development process and the final product. Quickly adapt tools and solutions based on lessons learned.
- Collaborate with Agile Coaches, Scrum Masters, and other Product Owners in an Agile community of practice to further Agile values in the IT Department.

Qualifications
- Degree in business administration or comparable experience preferred.
- Professional education and certifications (e.g., CSPO) preferred.
