Primary Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Management and stakeholders to define and execute product vision and priorities.
  • Collaborate across internal teams and sister companies to align features, workflows, and dependencies.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and development teams.
  • Create user stories, acceptance criteria, mockups, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain backlog readiness and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives.
  • Partner with engineering teams to support planning, execution, and delivery.

Requirements & Documentation

  • Document workflows, business processes, system behavior, and requirements.
  • Translate business needs and legacy platform functionality into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Identify dependencies, edge cases, and process gaps.
  • Maintain release documentation, change logs, and related materials.
  • Coordinate release readiness, documentation, communication, training, UAT, and validation activities.

Platform Evolution & Releases

  • Support migration strategies and customer transitions to next-generation platforms.
  • Translate legacy capabilities into scalable future-state solutions.
  • Coordinate release readiness, documentation, communication, training, UAT, and validation activities.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Report on sprint health, delivery progress, and release status.
  • Lead cross-functional efforts to convert customer and business needs into development plans.
  • Drive improvements in product processes, delivery effectiveness, and team best practices.

Skills & Competencies

  • Experience as a Product Owner or similar role in a software development environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong backlog management, prioritization, and product delivery capabilities.
  • Ability to analyze complex workflows and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Experience with legacy and modern systems, platform transitions, or dual-platform environments preferred.
  • Strong documentation, organization, and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted or automation-enabled product features is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of Product Owner or equivalent experience in a software product environment.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile tools.
  • CSPO, PSPO, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong experience writing requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience working closely with engineering and business stakeholders.
  • SaaS, enterprise software, or operational systems experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting platform migrations or large-scale product changes preferred.
  • Familiarity with retail software solutions such as POS, eCommerce, and inventory management preferred.

Pay

Salary Range: $70,000- $105,000
