About the role
Luma is expanding into asset management and seeks a Product Owner to lead that expansion. This role owns product delivery for ETF, Actively Managed Certificate (AMC), Separately Managed Account (SMA), and related product types supported across Luma’s Lifecycle Manager and Product Marketplace, and for the data connectivity that underpins them — integrations with ETF ecosystem partners such as DTCC, custodians, transfer agents, index providers, sub-advisors, and other market participants. The role requires strong organizational discipline, the ability to quickly reprioritize as situations evolve, and the judgment to balance near-term execution with longer-term platform objectives. The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of experience with ETF, AMC, SMA, or similar products and understands the workflows of Asset Managers, ETF Providers, Custodians, DTCC, and other market participants. A background at an Asset Management Company that creates and manages ETFs (e.g., Invesco, BlackRock, or similar) is strongly preferred, alongside experience at a fintech platform, custodian, or similar capital-markets institution.
Responsibilities
AI-DLC Execution and Delivery
- Own end-to-end execution of Luma’s AI-DLC (AI-Driven Development Lifecycle) across discovery, design, development, QA, release, and post-launch evaluation for asset management capabilities.
- Apply Luma’s AI-DLC process as the standard delivery methodology followed by all Luma Product Owners, using it to accelerate discovery, requirements drafting, and delivery.
- Translate complex asset management workflows into clear, detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Manage multiple high-priority initiatives at once across Lifecycle Manager and Product Marketplace, ensuring each remains on track through structured planning and active communication.
- Demonstrate strong flexibility and real-time reprioritization as new information, constraints, or business needs emerge.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering to guide sprint planning, backlog refinement, and milestone management.
Business Stakeholder Partnership
- Act as the central liaison between business teams and engineering, ensuring alignment of priorities and clarity of requirements.
- Partner with Sales, Trading, Operations, Asset Managers, ETF Providers, Custodians, Legal/Compliance, and Client Success to refine workflows and validate solutions.
- Communicate evolving priorities clearly and adjust plans as market conditions or stakeholder needs shift.
- Provide consistent updates on progress, risks, dependencies, and changes in scope.
- Manage client and partner relationships during requirements, design, test, and launch phases; prior client- or partner-facing experience is a key requirement.
Leveraging AI & Modern Product Tools
- Use Luma’s AI-DLC process together with AI design tools, Jira’s AI-enabled backlog and ticket-generation features, and other emerging technologies to accelerate discovery, documentation, and execution.
- Employ AI to generate wireframes, user flows, test cases, release notes, and dependency analysis.
- Identify additional tools that improve efficiency, reduce manual steps, and support scalable product operations.
Asset Management Product Expertise
- Apply deep subject-matter expertise to ensure Lifecycle Manager and Product Marketplace mirror real-world ETF, AMC, SMA, and related product workflows and market practices.
- Understand the lifecycle of ETF, AMC, SMA, and related products from creation and issuance through lifecycle events such as rebalancing, secondary-market considerations, etc.
- Own the roadmap for data connectivity with ETF providers, DTCC, custodians, and other market participants, ensuring accurate and timely data flow into the platform; data knowledge for these products is a requirement.
- Represent the workflow perspectives of asset managers, ETF providers, custodians, distributors, and operations teams.
User Experience & Platform Quality
- Partner with UX/design teams to ensure Lifecycle Manager and Product Marketplace features support clean, intuitive, and compliant workflows.
- Use AI-driven tools such as Claude Code, Cowork, and Draw to quickly create prototypes for demonstrations, requirements refinement, and test considerations.
- Conduct UAT, support QA feedback loops, and validate feature readiness for deployment.
- Improve dashboarding, reporting, and workflow efficiencies across asset manager and provider interfaces.
Operational & Support Alignment
- Collaborate with Client Success to prioritize and resolve support issues with clear SLAs.

Cross-Platform Coordination
- Work across product lines to ensure unified standards, shared components, and scalable system design.
- Identify upstream and downstream dependencies — particularly across data connectivity with ETF market participants such as DTCC, custodians, etc. — proactively communicating their impact to teams and stakeholders.
