Product Owner – AI Platform

About the role

As a Product Owner for an AI‑enabled platform transformation, you will partner with a leading life insurance organization to build a new AI‑first operating platform from the ground up for the Benefits division. The platform will underwrite intake and onboarding, claims processing, policy administration (PAS), and broker portal capabilities, bringing previously vendor‑managed functions in‑house and establishing internal product and delivery expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the AI‑enabled platform supporting underwriting intake/onboarding, claims processing, policy administration, and broker portal functions.
• Drive the migration of capabilities from an external vendor to internal ownership.
• Collaborate with business and engineering teams to prioritize work and deliver product increments.
• Maintain autonomy while managing competing priorities throughout the complex platform build.

Requirements

• Proven track record of hands‑on product delivery in complex platform environments.
• Ability to operate autonomously and manage competing priorities.
• Skill in navigating relationships between business and engineering teams during large‑scale builds.

Qualifications

• Experience working on AI‑enabled products or platforms (highly desirable).
• Insurance domain experience (beneficial but not essential).
• Demonstrated success implementing AI within products, workflows, or operational processes.
