About the role
The role is responsible for managing a collection of related Commerce-led features or portions of key products. This role requires in-depth product management knowledge and the ability to work independently, with minimal guidance.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day execution, influence team decisions, and provide informal guidance to junior team members.
- Create clear documentation and manage stakeholder interactions.
- Plan and manage the execution of multiple features, prioritize tasks, manage backlogs, and ensure quality launches.
- Analyze trade-offs, hit sprint goals, and drive measurable product outcomes such as feature adoption and metric improvements.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Manage stakeholder interactions.
- Ensure alignment with business and legal requirements from internal teams.
- Drive technical implementations working with engineering teams to improve development and create a more engaging global Disney+ product.
- Enable tools and efficiencies that allow all processes and systems to run on time and smoothly.
- Resolve blockers in other teams to move forward.
- Help core product teams, designers, and engineers recognize international requirements to create a culturally and linguistically appropriate product.
- Provide up-to-date visibility and communication for large projects, as well as progress for team goals.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Product Management and within the Globalization/Localization Product field.
- BA or MA in an area related to international product management, localization, project management, or a related field is preferred.
- Track record of managing and releasing complex and high-quality globalized products in collaboration with core product teams.
- Knowledge of globalization best practices and internationalization requirements.
- Background establishing process, supporting teams, developing relationships, and managing end-to-end for multiple localization programs.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience interacting with senior leadership.
- Self-starter, self-motivated, and outcome-oriented individual who seeks ownership and accountability.
Qualifications
- Passionate and enthusiastic about excellence and attention to detail.
- Deep understanding of translation management systems (TMS), computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools, and automation technologies.
- Proven experience in integrating GenAI, Neural Machine Translation (NMT), and LLMs into localization pipelines and content workflows.
