Product Operations Management Associate

About the role

This operational Program Specialist role supports product lifecycle management, configuration management, BOM management, and change order management within the product development process. As engineers develop products, they create part numbers and enter them into the PLM tool (Townsend, formerly Agile). This role will support the Kuiper program, which is focused on launching rockets and satellites.

Key responsibilities

• Create and structure Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Track and enter Engineering Change Orders (ECO) in Townsend (experience with Agile is helpful) and manage BOM changes
• Work closely with Engineering and Component Engineers to create part numbers
• Communicate new part numbers to internal teams and to the Contract Manufacturer
• Collaborate daily with the product development team and third-party suppliers regarding BOM/material management
• Submit change order requests (NCOs, RCOs, etc.)
• Support BOM in PLM tools and work with cross-functional teams including operations
• Create build matrices for prototype builds (including managing different prototype types)
• Create configurations with project products that will be used
• Handle final configuration before products go to customers

Qualifications

• Must have experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools (Agile, Windchill)
• Must have hardware configuration management experience
• Knowledgeable of system/device build planning and builds
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage competing deadlines efficiently
• Bachelor's degree
• 2-4 years of experience in a similar role

• Experience working with overseas contractors

Pay & benefits

Pay range: $50.00 - $58.00/hr. Individual compensation depends on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other job-related factors.
