Job Summary

The Staff Product Operations role at Andela is the connective tissue between Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Leadership. You will bridge gaps, close them, and move on to the next challenge. This role requires exceptional leadership, fluency in translating technical jargon to non-technical terms, and a relentless focus on improving processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct experience in a two-sided or multi-sided marketplace (talent, e-commerce, logistics, or similar).
  • Understanding liquidity, matching dynamics, and supply/demand tension.
  • Building features versus building manual processes.
  • Leading technical migrations or major company transitions.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills.
  • Navigating stakeholder complexity across Engineering, Operations, Sales, and executive leadership.
  • Strong data fluency and ability to define metrics frameworks.
  • Bias for action and quick problem-solving.
  • Comfort operating in a fully remote, globally distributed, async-first environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in product operations, product management, or a strategy/operations hybrid role.
  • 3+ years in a marketplace, platform, or multi-sided network business model.
  • 2+ years managing or mentoring direct reports.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across Engineering, Operations, and commercial teams in a remote or distributed organization.
