Product Merchandising Coordinator

The Opportunity

The Product Merchandising Coordinator role involves managing kids & tweens DIY arts & crafts products from concept to creation. Key responsibilities include facilitating sales presentations, coordinating with overseas offices, assisting in product spec creation, and collaborating with various cross-functional teams.

Role Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• Facilitate the creation of sales presentations with mock-up samples, prototypes, and presentation boards.
• Conduct daily communication with overseas office on issues of new product development, sourcing, costing, and project status.
• Aid in product spec creation by obtaining competitive samples, photographing, editing photos, and creating copy.
• Create and keep a status of all art requests for new products, packaging revisions, and production needs.
• Assist in reviewing and commenting on production approval samples and providing customer-required samples to the sales team.
• Complete new item setup and other product & marketing-related forms for retail customers.
• Work with members from cross-functional teams such as Product Development, Planning, Marketing Ops, Sales, etc., on all assigned programs.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Product Development teams to generate new product concepts through brainstorm meetings, trend-shopping, and market research.
• Additional duties related to merchandising/production as required.

• Strong attention to details.
• 0-3 years of product management experience in a CPG/manufacturing company (preferred).
• Sourcing, Costing, Product Development, and/or Supply Chain background (plus).
• Experience communicating with overseas suppliers (preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for crafting and creativity (plus).

Location & Schedule

This is a hybrid opportunity with some days working in our New Providence, NJ office and other days working remotely.
