About the role
A Product Marketing Manager (Supplier Manager) for Univar Solutions Ingredient + Specialties, you will foster continuous sales growth in the Chelants market segment. This position will work closely with key suppliers and internal personnel to support successful long-term growth and collaborate with marketing, lab teams, suppliers, sales management, technical account managers, and field sales to establish and implement successful programs.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for business relationships with suppliers. This includes mapping and engaging interactions with management, technical, marketing, and supply teams.
- Detailed financial analysis and regular presentations externally to suppliers, and internally to leadership.
- Accountable for financial results and growth plans for suppliers within Beauty Care customers/applications.
- Aid in the implementation, and execution, of the supply, sales, marketing, financial and logistical strategy.
- Works closely with procurement, finance, and accounts payable to resolve supplier issues and remove supply chain issues.
- Works closely with marketing on campaigns, push products, and supplier engagement.
- Provides regular market updates to the field sales organization on assigned products, and coordinates training with suppliers for both technical and commercial.
- Provides mentorship to Field Sales Organization, and others, on day-to-day issues, i.e. pricing, service, procurement, and supply.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Chemistry).
- Understanding of the Chelants trends: contract manufacturing, raw material suppliers, applications.
- Successful experience (3 years minimum) in technical, sales, or product management, with a specialized product concentration in Chelants application.
- Analytical proven skills are needed to develop strategic data-driven decisions.
- Strong MS Excel skills required. Microsoft CoPilot skills preferred.
- Ability to develop and grow strong relationships with key suppliers and cross-functional partners (Marketing, Procurement, Finance, etc.).
- High level of decision-making ability balancing supplier needs and company objectives.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle diverse and significant workloads.
- Strong written, verbal and presentation abilities.
- Understanding of chemical distribution business and functions.
