Product Manufacturing Engineer (Onsite)

Pratt & Whitney · Asheville, NC · 1 mo ago
On-siteEngineeringFull-time
We need to output HTML fragment with sections: About the role? The posting includes description: "At RTX, the world's largest aerospace..." etc. That's about the company. Could be "About the role" or "About the company". The instruction: use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). We need to include sections only when posting has real specific content. We have: - About the role: maybe the paragraph describing role? Actually "What You Will Do:" is responsibilities. So we can have Responsibilities section. - Qualifications: there are "Qualifications You Must Have:" and "Qualifications We Value:" plus some extra like "Lean manufacturing training a plus." etc. So we can have Qualifications section. - Skills: maybe we can extract from Qualifications We Value: knowledge of MES2.0, experience in turbine airfoil manufacturing, ability to work in high energy fast paced, highly self-directed, etc. Could be Skills section. - Benefits: posting mentions benefits list: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, holidays. Also mention annual incentive compensation. So we can have Benefits section. - Pay: salary range: 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. So Pay section. - Schedule: not explicitly given; only role type Onsite. No schedule details like full-time, shift. So we should not create Schedule section unless posting actually states them. It does not. So omit. - Also we might have "About the role" maybe not needed; we could combine company description under About the role? But we have responsibilities separate. Could have "About the role" as a brief description of role? The posting includes "As Product Manufacturing Engineer, you will own the sequence..." That's responsibilities. So we could have About the role as a short summary: maybe the first paragraph about RTX and Pratt & Whitney? That's more about company. But instruction says use headings like About the role, Responsibilities, etc. We can decide to include About the role with a brief summary of the role and company. However we must not repeat job title as heading. It's okay. We need to preserve all substantive information, not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to include all details from posting, but we can reorganize into sections. We must remove boilerplate: cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, application instructions. So we need to strip out EEO statement, privacy policy, etc. Also remove duplicated lines like "U.S. citizenship is required..." appears twice; we should keep only once. We need to keep: Date Posted? Probably minor metadata; we can fold into a short

or drop it. The instruction: do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short

or drop it. So we could include a

with date posted and location maybe. But we should preserve all substantive information: location, role type, citizenship requirement, security clearance none, company description, responsibilities, qualifications (must have and valued), skills, benefits, pay. We need to output only HTML fragment, no /, no markdown. Let's craft:

We could also have Skills section pulling out some of the valued qualifications. But we already have Qualifications section with must have and valued. The instruction allows Skills section separate; but we can keep Qualifications as is and not create Skills to avoid duplication. However we might want to separate Skills for clarity. But we must not create thin sections. The valued qualifications are substantive; we could put them under Skills. But we already have Qualifications; we could keep Qualifications for must have and Skills for valued. Let's decide: We'll have Qualifications (must have) and Skills (valued). That seems reasonable. Thus:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Materials Science, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience.
  • OR an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years' related work experience.

Pay:

Pay

The salary range for this role is $86,800 USD – $165,200 USD.

We should not include Schedule. We need to ensure we didn't include boilerplate like EEO, privacy policy, etc. We removed. Check for duplicated lines: we kept citizenship only once. Check for any leftover boilerplate: The paragraph about "Please ensure the role type defined below is appropriate for your needs before applying to this role." That's application instructions; we should remove. Also the paragraph about "Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process." etc. That's also instructions; remove. Also "As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process..." remove. Also "The salary range provided is a good faith estimate..." we kept only the range; we removed the extra sentence about good faith estimate etc. Actually we kept only the range; we omitted the extra sentence. Good. We also removed "Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to..." we kept benefits list but removed the introductory sentence. That's okay; we kept the list. We also removed "Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement." We kept a brief note about eligibility dependent on position level and collective bargaining coverage. That's okay. We also removed "Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance." That's extra detail; maybe we should keep? It's substantive about incentive compensation. The instruction says preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. So we should keep that detail. However we already have a brief note; we could expand. Let's incorporate that into Benefits section maybe as a sub-point. We'll adjust Benefits to include: - Annual short‑term and/or long‑term incentive compensation programs (eligibility dependent on position level and collective‑bargaining coverage; payments not guaranteed and depend on individual performance, business unit performance, and/or company performance). That preserves the detail. Now check for any other substantive info: The posting also mentions "This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply." That's substantive about location and pay structure. Should we keep? Yes. We could add a note under Pay or Benefits. Let's add a short paragraph under Pay: "This is a U.S.-based role; if the candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply." Also "RTX anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted. However, factors such as candidate flow and business necessity may require RTX to shorten or extend the application window." That's about application window; it's not strictly required but could be considered metadata. The instruction says remove application instructions. This is about application window; maybe consider as application
