Product Manager, Perimeter & Intrusion Devices

About The Role

Verkada's Perimeter & Intrusion security products enable customers to detect potential threats using AI and sensor technology, and respond quickly to ensure safety. As Product Manager for our perimeter and intrusion detection devices, you will build the most advanced and performant intrusion detection system in the industry. You will grow our suite of traditional and AI-powered sensors, supporting everything from small retailers to large manufacturing warehouses. This role is based onsite at our HQ in San Mateo, CA.

Responsibilities

• Own the intrusion device product roadmap, translating customer detection needs and physical site topologies into successful products
• Oversee intrusion detection-related devices from concept to launch, collaborating with hardware and software engineering to meet customer needs and timelines
• Direct pricing, go-to-market positioning, and sales training for intrusion devices
• Ensure Verkada hardware scales from small to large deployments with simplicity, speed, and flexibility
• Understand customer and channel partner needs through direct engagement

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in B2B
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar quantitative field (MS, PhD, or MBA optional)
• Proven history of launching and scaling hardware and/or embedded systems products
• Strong customer intuition, technical depth, and ability to navigate tradeoffs
• Ability to lead across both strategy and execution with attention to detail
• Foundational understanding of firmware, networking, device bring-up, electrical, and mechanical design aspects of hardware
• Passion for craftsmanship and product details

Pay

Estimated Annual Pay Range: $185,000—$215,000 USD (comprised of base compensation and commissions, if applicable). Additional compensation may include sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and equity in the form of restricted stock units (RSUs).
