Product Manager, Payments

About the role
We are seeking a Payments Product Lead to ensure the smooth operation of money movements across various payment rails at Kalshi. This role involves overseeing the development of intuitive user experiences, managing performance metrics, and maintaining strong relationships with banking partners and other financial institutions. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in payments, a deep understanding of KYC/AML providers, and a strong track record in fraud management.
Responsibilities
- Translate complex payment flows into simple, intuitive user experiences across multiple payment rails.
- Define and improve key payment performance metrics through rigorous data-driven experimentation.
- Own provider strategy and relationships with banking partners, card networks, processors, and stablecoin infrastructure.
- Manage costs across the rails stack, including chargebacks, processing fees, foreign exchange (FX), and reserves.
- Own end-to-end user journeys, focusing on funnel optimization and experiment-driven improvements.
- Drive fraud and anti-money laundering (AML) programs in collaboration with risk, compliance, and legal teams.
Requirements
- 6+ years of product management experience, particularly in payments, fintech infrastructure, or regulated financial products.
- Deep hands-on knowledge of payment rails, KYC/AML providers, and fraud tools.
- Strong product instincts, capable of reading funnels, running experiments, and treating compliance as a design constraint.
- A high tolerance for ambiguity, speed, and the pressure associated with handling real money flows for real users.
- Fluency in cryptocurrency and stablecoin infrastructure for payments.
Benefits
