About the role

This role has been designed as 'Hybrid' with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description

  • Owns specific product areas or features within HPC/AI system management and orchestration software, including definition, execution, and delivery.
  • Contributes to the product roadmap by defining requirements, prioritizing features, and aligning with overall product and portfolio goals.
  • Works closely with Software Architects and Engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable, high-quality software solutions.
  • Develops and maintains product requirements (PRDs), user stories, and feature specifications with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Engages with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to gather requirements and understand use cases, particularly around system deployment, monitoring, orchestration, and lifecycle management.
  • Supports cross-product alignment by collaborating with other product managers to ensure consistency in user experience, APIs, and platform capabilities.
  • Participates in planning, prioritization, and release cycles, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of product commitments.
  • Works with Engineering, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure successful product delivery, validation, and release readiness.
  • Supports go-to-market activities, including documentation, training, and customer engagement for product features.
  • Maintains product performance and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and future enhancements.

    Education And Experience Required

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in software product management or a related role (e.g., engineering, technical program management).
    • Experience in HPC, AI/ML platforms, distributed systems, or infrastructure software.
    • Familiarity with system management, orchestration frameworks, or cloud/HPC infrastructure environments preferred.

    Knowledge And Skills

    • Solid understanding of HPC/AI systems, infrastructure software, and orchestration concepts (e.g., cluster management, scheduling, monitoring).
    • Ability to translate technical requirements into clear product specifications.
    • Strong collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively across Engineering, Architecture, and cross-functional teams.
    • Good product sense and ability to contribute to feature prioritization and roadmap decisions.
    • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with ability to manage trade-offs and dependencies.
    • Strong communication skills, both technical and business-facing.
    • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, complex environments with multiple stakeholders.
    • Basic business acumen and understanding of customer needs and product value.

    The expected salary/wage range for this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level.
    – United States of America: Annual Salary USD 111,500 - 211,500 in Colorado // 106,000 - 243,000 in Minnesota & Texas & Wisconsin
    The listed salary range reflects base salary. Variable incentives may also be offered.
