Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute short- and long-term product strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage product portfolio planning, lifecycle management, and demand forecasting.
- Partner with Supply Chain and Operations to align production planning with market demand and commercial priorities.
- Develop and execute pricing strategies to optimize profitability and market competitiveness.
- Monitor product performance and identify opportunities for growth, optimization, and portfolio expansion.
- Translate customer and market needs into actionable product and commercial strategies.
- Identify new business opportunities across industrial markets and emerging applications.
- Lead customer qualification activities, product trials, and commercialization efforts in collaboration with Sales and Technical teams.
- Analyze market trends, competitive activity, supply-demand dynamics, and regulatory developments to identify growth opportunities.
- Develop market segmentation strategies and compelling customer value propositions.
- Evaluate competitor positioning, pricing, and product offerings to inform strategic decisions.
- Support strategic customer engagements involving long-term agreements, supply strategies, and portfolio positioning.
- Provide market intelligence and commercial insights to senior leadership.
- Develop business cases supporting capital investments, new product development, and market expansion opportunities.
- Partner with Sales by delivering product training, commercial tools, and customer-facing materials.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives involving Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and Technical teams.
- Drive continuous improvement projects focused on revenue growth, margin expansion, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.
- Foster collaboration across functions to ensure successful execution of commercial strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5–10 years of professional experience, including 2–5 years in Product Management, Marketing, or Commercial Management within the chemical, specialty chemical, industrial manufacturing, or related industries.
- Demonstrated success commercializing chemical products, including:
- Product launches
- Pricing strategy
- Portfolio management
- Market segmentation
- Profitability optimization
- Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to build business cases, evaluate P&L performance, and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience negotiating pricing strategies and commercial agreements.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate market intelligence into actionable business plans.
- Excellent communication, presentation, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred MBA or other advanced business degree.
- Experience within specialty chemicals, solvents, coatings, packaging, printing, adhesives, or related industrial markets.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
