Product Manager (GRC)
Starting base pay for this role is between $120,000 and $145,000, dependent upon transferable skills, work experience, business needs, training, location, and market demands. This role is eligible for a bonus as well as benefits.
About the role
Identify customer and market needs, develop a 12-month strategic plan and roadmap aligned to business goals, and execute to that vision. Partner closely with Engineering to solve complex business and client problems, delivering solutions that delight users. Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data-driven techniques throughout the product lifecycle to accelerate discovery, improve decision-making, and deliver innovative, responsible, and compliant AI-enabled solutions. Lead AI-related research, experimentation, prototyping, and create high-quality product and governance artifacts aligned to Origami Risk standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Roadmaps and Product Strategy
- Own the 12-month prioritized product roadmap and associated feature-level backlog.
- Align the team around delivery of high-value business outcomes.
- Research and identify emerging market and technology needs to influence the market roadmap and promote innovation.
- Use data to validate roadmap prioritization and proposed solution builds.
- Ensure solutions address the right problems and that these problems are worth solving.
- Build deep business domain, user, and client expertise to identify product and market opportunities.
- Act as the subject matter expert for assigned product and market.
- AI & Data-Driven Product Development
- Apply AI-assisted tools and techniques across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including discovery, research synthesis, opportunity sizing, roadmap planning, prototyping, and delivery.
- Lead AI-informed product discovery by partnering with stakeholders to identify high-value use cases, validate customer problems, and assess feasibility, risk, and impact of AI-enabled solutions.
- Oversee AI experimentation and prototyping to validate assumptions, measure outcomes, and inform roadmap decisions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure AI solutions follow best practices and corporate policies.
- Ensure appropriate human-in-the-loop decision-making, explainability, transparency, and monitoring in AI-enabled product features.
- Use data, analytics, experimentation results, and AI-generated insights to evaluate product performance, inform prioritization, and optimize outcomes.
- Requirement Creation
- Document requirements as user stories, translating business requirements into technical requirements for shared understanding with Engineering teams.
- Validate product and engineering artifacts (Requirement Documents, Build Tasks, Visual Collaboration documents, design documents) to address risks to value, viability, feasibility, and usability.
- Backlog Maintenance, Prioritization, and Engineering Team Support
- Participate in annual and quarterly release planning, driving direction and prioritization.
- Execute strong time management and planning to ensure adequate time for work through the product lifecycle (discovery, requirements, design, architecture).
- Serve as the product owner of the scrum team to plan work and resolve in-sprint issues.
- Act as a ruthless prioritizer using product prioritization frameworks to balance client and stakeholder needs.
- Perform backlog maintenance, including identifying escalated feature or bug requests for upcoming sprints.
- Serve as the day-to-day contact for the team on requirement clarifications and drive refinement ceremonies.
- Perform functional testing and confirm sprint demos to ensure delivery of quality software.
- Business Partnership
- Partner with stakeholders across the organization to align on transparent strategic roadmaps and ensure delivery of product outcomes.
- Partner with marketing and operations to provide market and product responses to RFIs.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in technology, business, liberal arts, science, or engineering.
- 5+ years’ experience in Product Management, including owning a product roadmap and driving Agile processes.
- Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills with high attention to detail.
- Business acumen to identify opportunities, facilitate strategic planning, and use data and storytelling to influence.
- Ability to balance short-term needs with long-term strategy.
- Strong relationship-building skills, including influencing stakeholders and scrum team members.
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) across all levels of the organization.
- Experience overseeing phases of the product development lifecycle.
- Experience working in Agile methodologies and on Agile teams.
- Prior GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) experience strongly preferred.
