Product Manager Global Air Freight
As a core member of the team, you will drive the execution of high-priority initiatives designed to expand the company's footprint within the international air freight market. This role requires seamless coordination across diverse functional areas—including commercial, operations, sales, finance, and technology—on a global scale to ensure alignment with corporate objectives. You will serve as a subject matter expert, leveraging deep market insights to provide thought leadership and strategic guidance as the corporation builds out the necessary capabilities to successfully penetrate the market. By navigating complex global logistics landscapes and fostering cross-regional collaboration, you will be instrumental in transforming our market entry strategies into sustainable competitive advantages.
Responsibilities
- Drive the execution of high-priority initiatives to expand the company’s footprint in the international air freight market.
- Coordinate across diverse functional areas (commercial, operations, sales, finance, and technology) on a global scale to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, providing thought leadership and strategic guidance for market penetration.
- Navigate complex global logistics landscapes and foster cross-regional collaboration.
- Transform market entry strategies into sustainable competitive advantages.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in international transportation or air freight industry.
- Strong understanding of program management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills (written and oral).
- Ability to lead and motivate teams, build strong stakeholder relationships, and manage conflicts.
- Experience presenting complex concepts to executive leadership.
- Strong critical thinking, strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- At least 1 year of program/project management experience.
- At least 1 year of international transportation or freight forwarding experience.
- Cross-functional team experience.
- Experience working across a global organization.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in product marketing, economics, business, or a related field.
- Three (3) years of work experience in product management, market analysis, research, or equivalent (advanced degrees may offset experience requirements).
Skills
- Knowledge of competitive, market, and economic factors affecting product performance.
- Ability to perform fact-based data analysis.
- Strong quantitative, problem structuring, and solving skills.
- Strong executive presence and human relations skills.
- Strong project management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Related Master’s Degree (equals two years of experience).
Pay
- Memphis range: $6,511.62/mo - $10,744.16/mo
- Pittsburgh range: $6,854.33/mo - $11,309.65/mo
- Plano range: $6,854.33/mo - $11,309.65/mo
This is a hybrid position located in Memphis, TN, Pittsburgh, PA, or Plano, TX. Candidates must live within 50 miles of the campus location. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx campus location several times per week.
