Product Manager, Content Ranking

What You’ll Do

• Partner with cross-functional teams to build app features and content experiences that ensure Snapchatters of every age, in every market, are entertained in a safe environment
• Create new content experiences with sharp intuition for cultural trends and short-form video, including what makes content resonate in the moment, and how to surface it to the right Snapchatters at the right time
• Leverage features and improvements to give Snapchatters greater control over the quality of their content experience, all in a scalable way within a privacy- and safety-by-design framework
• Develop goals, strategy, and roadmaps; own products and features from conception to launch and beyond, setting the metrics that inform their success and impact
• Collaborate with partners across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Legal, and Policy to align teams on a shared vision and steer execution toward that vision
• Develop and present go-forward recommendations with key stakeholders, closely monitoring and measuring the results of all features

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Proven ability to develop a product strategy for content ranking and recommendation systems and translate it into a prioritized, data-driven roadmap
• Proven ability to define and analyze success metrics and input metrics for a large organization
• Strong analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and approach problems with system-level thinking
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build trust and align cross-functional teams across engineering, data science, and beyond

Minimum Qualifications

• BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience
• 4+ years of experience building and shipping products at a technology company

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in product management, preferably working on content quality, content understanding, content ranking, or content moderation
• Passion for Snapchat and creative problem solving

Pay

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position.

The position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
