About the opportunity

The Product Manager, Cloud Platform (Data & Telemetry) leads the development and execution of a multi‑quarter roadmap for telemetry ingestion and data platform capabilities. This role is critical in advancing the cloud strategy by prioritizing engineering efforts to improve platform performance, reliability, and scalability. It involves translating technical constraints into clear product requirements and fostering the use of telemetry data through APIs and tools that support internal teams and AI/ML applications.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the roadmap for telemetry ingestion and data platform capabilities.
• Lead planning and prioritization with engineering partners, balancing performance, scalability, reliability, customer needs, and market opportunities.
• Translate distributed system constraints and data requirements into product requirements, user stories, and measurable outcomes.
• Develop and promote APIs, tools, data structures, and access patterns for effective telemetry use.
• Measure success through platform reliability, latency, scale, adoption, and enabled customer experiences.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in product management with cloud platforms, data infrastructure, or SaaS networking.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience defining product roadmaps and requirements for backend, platform, data, or infrastructure capabilities delivered to production.
• Experience collaborating with engineering on APIs, distributed systems, data pipelines, or cloud architecture.
• Ability to use product and operational metrics to prioritize work and assess outcomes.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex technical trade‑offs to diverse stakeholders.
• Preferred: Familiarity with streaming, messaging, caching, relational, or time‑series technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL.
• Preferred: Experience with Kubernetes or Amazon EKS.
• Preferred: Experience defining data structures or access patterns for AI/ML models or analytics.
• Preferred: Experience with enterprise networking, telemetry platforms, observability products, or large‑scale SaaS.

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is $154,900.00 to $225,300.00, excluding incentive compensation, equity, or benefits. Individual pay depends on location, skills, experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
