Product Manager- Akron Brass

About the role

This is a remote Product Manager position responsible for leading cross-functional initiatives through influence and structured planning. The role drives product line growth and profitability throughout the product lifecycle, with key metrics including product line revenue, margin, and vitality. While the Product Manager does not have direct authority over commercial, technical, and operations resources, active collaboration with these teams is required to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage product line performance, including revenue and margin.
• Apply 80/20 principles to optimize product offerings and manage lifecycle complexity.
• Develop, execute, and maintain product line strategies, product plans, and roadmaps based on market insights.
• Define, launch, and track all new product offerings.
• Create and implement product line marketing plans.
• Lead and oversee the product development process.
• Participate in setting and executing overall business strategic direction.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Twelve or more years in product management, with strong consideration for candidates within the fire industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Skills

• Strong business acumen with a results-driven mindset.
• Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
• Experience utilizing strategic marketing tools and frameworks.
• Demonstrated product management experience.
• Track record of successfully implementing large projects or process improvements.
• Solid understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and reporting.
