About the Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a highly technical and strategically minded Digital Product Management Senior Manager to lead a portfolio of 6-7 products focused on enabling modern software engineering at scale. The Chief Development Experience Office (CDXO) is responsible for delivering the enterprise-wide suite of software development tools that power more than 20,000 engineers across the organization.

This role requires deep expertise in Technology Controls and Governance, software engineering, application development, APIs, DevOps, and cloud-native practices, combined with demonstrated experience driving scaled product management in a large, regulated environment. We are reimagining the future of software delivery—one that is secure, scalable, and developer-centric. CDXO leads the modernization of engineering platforms and workflows, integrating GenAI-powered capabilities across the SDLC to accelerate development, improve engineering quality, and streamline release decisioning. Through intuitive tools, automation, and platform strategies, we empower thousands of developers across the enterprise to build with speed, safety, and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Champion developer-centric, low-friction risk mitigation workflows through scalable, self-service platforms that accelerate software delivery.
  • Lead adoption and maturity strategies that measurably improve developer productivity, engineering quality, and release confidence across the enterprise.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing product organization, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Influence and align stakeholders across engineering, security, risk, and leadership to drive enterprise adoption and shared outcomes.
  • Demonstrate expertise across application development, APIs, CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud-native platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift), including secure software supply chains and platform engineering.
  • Translate enterprise objectives into scalable platform strategies with measurable improvements in developer experience, quality, release velocity, and risk mitigation.
  • Apply deep understanding of developer workflows, pain points, and productivity drivers to build intuitive tools and enablement platforms that improve satisfaction and outcomes.
  • Embed enterprise risk and compliance requirements into platform design, lifecycle governance, and release decisioning.
  • Manage and develop teams of digital professionals, supporting the execution of digital strategy within a business line or functional area.
  • Engage and influence stakeholders, internal partners, and peers associated with the function or affected by its outcomes.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for programs and initiatives with impact across the business line and beyond.
  • Determine appropriate strategy and actions to meet moderate- to high-risk deliverables.
  • Interpret and develop policies and procedures for functions with moderate complexity.
  • Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, including senior managers.
  • Interact directly with external customers.
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives.
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of digital product management or leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • 2+ years of Technology risk, control, and governance experience.
  • 3+ years of management or leadership experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience establishing a vision, developing strategy to support the vision, and driving action toward the vision through effective management of roadmap, goals, and objectives.
  • Advanced experience writing user stories, features, and prioritizing work to align with product roadmap.
  • Advanced experience driving automation across a suite of software development tools and applications.
  • Expertise in strong executive-level communication skills.
  • Experience transitioning organizations to modern product and portfolio management practices, including Agile methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, modernization frameworks, and operational risk.
  • Proficiency with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and tools such as Jira.

Schedule

  • Hybrid work schedule: 3 days a week on-site/in office and 2 days a week remote.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Pay

$159,000.00 - $305,000.00 base pay range. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
