About the role
The Product Logistics Clerk handles the clerical responsibilities for the shipping department to ensure 100% on time delivery as well as 100% customer and carrier systems accuracy by performing the following duties:
- Cook and Log (premium freight log) Emergency and premium freight shipments. This includes tracking outgoing expedites from conception to delivery and communicating tracking information to materials and Management teams.
- Prepare and distribute all shipping documents as needed. Including shippers, BOL, and export docs using Parts +. This should include printing and distribution of pick sheets sent from Customer Service as well as generating picks for customers that ship multiple times daily.
- Cook and Monitor Day and Ross (REI) movements between buildings and outside service suppliers. This should include staying in contact with truck driver via phone and/or radio to ensure movement of product in a timely manner.
- Cook and Monitor Material move boards to ensure material movements requests are being completed in a timely manner. Follow up on those items that remain open beyond requested timing (red on board).
- Cook and Update and Monitor Container Boards daily. Ensure proper scanning of Stellantis containers at risk of inventory run out prior to ASN being sent.
- Cook and Update and Monitor ASN sent through process to ensure no EDI errors. Follow up on all EDI errors for closure utilizing IT help tickets when needed.
- Cook and Trace shipments for POD as required and provide BOL copies upon request.
- Cook and Maintain Shipper files including boxing up and properly marking for long term storage.
- Cook and Notify team of all short shipments using “Short ship Escalation” email group.
- Cook and Attend all routing/logistics related conference calls and training as required.
- Cook and Maintain shipping schedule master by window time and dock assignment.
- Cook and Schedule and monitor re-packer as needed to protect proper container shipments.
- Cook and Cycle count containers as needed.
- Cook and Schedule LTL shipments through Carrier systems as needed ensuring information accuracy.
- Cook and Request of additional trucks or cancellation of trucks utilizing carrier and/or customer specific systems based on requirements.
- Cook and Schedule REI for weekend coverage as needed after gaining approval from Materials Manager and/or GM.
- Cook and Act as a back-up to Shipping Supervisor as needed. Second shift will be responsible to give direction to shipping clerks reporting any issues and/or concerns to Shipping Supervisor and Material Manager for follow up.
- Cook and Locate missing inventory as requested. Follow up with Materials Manager and Inventory Control Analyst for inventory not located.
- Cook and Communicate with Audit when parts needed to cover shipments. Follow product shipment from Petit to Beard via REI.
- Cook and Prepare and process Fed Ex shipments daily.
- Cook and Update NAFTA/USMCA requests as needed.
- Cook and Respond to Customer requests as needed in the absence of a Customer Service representative and escalate any issues to Materials Manager when necessary.
- Cook and Participate in year-end inventory.
- Cook and Participate in 6S and CI.

One to 5 years’ experience and/or training or the equivalent combination of education and experience
