Product Line Leader (Power Distribution & Bus Duct)

About the role
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Product Line Leader to drive the vision, strategy, and execution of the nVent high-voltage and medium-voltage bus duct portfolios. This role is critical in leading cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, customer-centric solutions that align with business goals and market demands. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the utility market and applications, product lifecycle management, and stakeholder collaboration. You will bridge the gap between product development and sales, ensuring our products resonate with our target audience and achieve their full market potential.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategic plans and convert them into annual growth plans with supporting functional objectives.
- Manage product portfolios and new product and technology roadmaps.
- Develop and deploy annual capital expenditure plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution of product line initiatives.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive threats.
- Analyze product performance and customer feedback to find opportunities for improvement and optimization.
- Provide insights and recommendations to inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on our products and provide ongoing sales support.
- Develop and deliver sales training materials and tools to equip the sales team with the knowledge and resources they need to effectively sell our products.
- Serve as intermediary between Sales and Operations for project-based businesses.
- Responsible for product line financial performance including annual target setting and quarterly forecasting.
- Establish objectives and key results to measure the effectiveness of product management and new product development initiatives.
- Track and analyze product line performance data and present insights to executive leadership.
- Use data-driven analysis to optimize revenue and profitability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Ideally 15+ years of experience in Product Management or Engineering.
- Ideally 10+ years of experience leading and mentoring teams.
- Utility industry knowledge.
- Experience with medium and high voltage bus duct systems is ideal. A background in switchgear is also helpful.
- Vision to establish business development plan and implement the plan.
- Proven track record of developing and delivering successful go-to-market strategies.
- Solid understanding of product positioning, messaging, branding, and technical applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills paired with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong presentation abilities.
- Product development and commercialization experience.
- Ability to work hybrid from our Medway, MA or Richland, MS locations and travel 15-25% of the time on average.

Pay
Compensation Range: $172,900.00 - $257,000.00. Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
