Responsibilities

  • Work closely with other Engineering teams, such as Test Labs, Factory Manufacturing, and Product Management to create competitive designs for Trane Commercial HVAC equipment.
  • Support engineering teams including engineers, designers, lab technicians.
  • Develop product designs to meet performance, regulatory, quality and cost requirements.
  • Review and understand the technical feasibility of product and internal requirements.
  • Lead VAVE activities to evaluate process improvements and cost reductions.
  • Implement subsequent product design changes.
  • Design and select robust and cost-effective components and develop engineering specifications.
  • Create and manage BOM structures in a PLM system.
  • Develop laboratory test plans and analyze test data to ensure product performance and quality.
  • Support engineering teams including engineers, designers, lab technicians.
  • Complete system integration tasks including engineering design, engineering specifications, support creation of layouts and design reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in an Engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years experience leading technical aspects of product design projects, validation testing, implementation, and root cause analysis.
  • Deliver technical designs and lead design reviews to meet project and product requirements.

Qualifications

  • Technical expertise to support and lead product design projects, product validation testing, drive to root cause for quality & reliability issues, interpret technical agency standards and conduct projects in accordance with standard engineering and stage gate PDP practices.

Skills

  • Technical expertise in product design and validation testing.
  • Ability to interpret technical agency standards.
  • Experience in root cause analysis and quality improvement.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.

Annual Base Salary Range: $75,700.00 - $107,660.00
