Product Lifecycle Electrical Engineer, Data Center Engineering - Electrical Products and Services (DCE-EPS)

Responsibilities
- Review, update, and approve equipment submittals
- Work with global electrical equipment suppliers and manufacturers
- Build trust and relationships with different stakeholders (e.g. reliability, operations, design, compliance)
- Work on concurrent projects, in multiple geographic zones
- Understand and explain complex systems in clear and concise language
- Provide support to Field Engineering for root cause analysis, with collaboration with quality team for component-level investigations, maintenance and troubleshooting support, and operating procedure review for both mechanical and electrical issues
- Listen to the voice of the customer to understand if there are improvements that can be made to increase product reliability or availability
- Work with global supplier and manufacturers to design product improvements, and to oversee root cause analysis
- Contribute to our global body of knowledge and drive a cycle of continuous improvement at a global scale
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities
- Experience in commissioning
- Knowledge of both mechanical and electrical equipment or design related to data center electrical and mechanical topology
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer License
- Experience with building codes and regulations for your region
- Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production
- Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents
Skills
- Hands-on design, manufacturing, and installation experience
- Understanding of electronics
- Capability to understand detailed equipment specifications and evaluate the merit and risks of design changes

Pay
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
- USA, GA, Atlanta - 116,800.00 - 160,000.00 USD annually
- USA, OH, COLUMBUS - 116,800.00 - 160,000.00 USD annually
- USA, TX, Austin - 116,800.00 - 160,000.00 USD annually
- USA, VA, Herndon - 116,800.00 - 160,000.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Seattle - 116,800.00 - 160,000.00 USD annually
Schedule
Travel will be necessary but is not expected to exceed 30%. International support will be part of the job, and some international travel may be required. Contributions could include leading international projects and developing engineering information packages. An understanding of international electrical product design requirements is helpful but not necessary.
