About the Role
J. J. Keller is seeking a Product Leader responsible for the strategy, development, launch, and lifecycle management of compliance product and service offerings. This role partners with customers and cross-functional teams to identify market opportunities, define product roadmaps, and deliver solutions addressing business and compliance challenges. The Product Leader leverages customer insights, industry knowledge, and market trends to drive revenue growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and ensure successful product delivery. This position requires a strategic, customer-focused leader who can influence stakeholders, prioritize initiatives, and bring innovative solutions to market.
Responsibilities
- Deliver results aligned with key metrics: new service launch objectives, customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention targets, new service revenue and growth targets, overall business line revenue and growth targets, and budget control.
- Oversee product development and monitor trends indicating the need for new or enhanced products and services.
- Participate in customer and market needs analysis; manage the existing assigned product line by delivering enhancements addressing those needs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create a product roadmap for all products and services within the assigned line.
- Develop and manage processes transforming business requirements into detailed product/service requirements; lead cross-functional teams in product definition and design.
- Lead the successful launch of assigned product/service offerings, including new development, lifecycle management of current offerings, and applicable back-office systems.
- Partner with the Development team throughout the development cycle, including grooming and prioritization processes, to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of features meeting customer and market expectations.
- Develop pricing strategies to maximize market share and maintain profitability; collaborate with Marketing and Portfolio Management on pricing where applicable.
- Represent J. J. Keller at industry and market events to educate, inform, and gather feedback on assigned products and services.
- Participate in establishing and managing the Customer Loyalty Index for the assigned product line; collaborate on product plans and strategies based on periodic survey results.
- Manage expenses in line with departmental budgets and corporate business conditions.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the regulatory space to define compliance solutions, including understanding customer compliance processes and business workflows.
Requirements
- 4+ years in a product design, product manager, or project management role, preferably for a commercialized customer-facing offering.
- Prior experience working with business software applications, including business-to-business websites and back-office systems.
- Demonstrated experience writing requirements for business software applications, including business-to-business websites and back-office systems.
- Prior experience in a leadership role strongly preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing, Business, or a Technology field. In lieu of a degree, may consider an additional 4 years of experience in product management or project management.
- Demonstrated experience designing or managing the functionality of client-facing portals.
- Demonstrated experience with the integration of business systems (e.g., back-office systems and client-facing portals) and understanding of how integration impacts user experience (e.g., data integrity).
- Ability to develop and implement growth plans and programs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to break down deliverables into specific development activities and accurately estimate delivery dates and project costs.
- Understanding of product management processes and methodologies.
- Solution- and team-oriented, with the ability to lead and influence others.
- Ability to work with diverse, cross-functional teams throughout the organization.
- Knowledge of complex Sales processes related to technology-based products or services.
- Ability to recognize sales channel capabilities and package products accordingly.
Physical Requirements
Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. Occasional travel to offsite offices or customer sites may be required, depending on assignment.
