About the role
The Product Engineering NPI Team at Fluidstack is responsible for taking hardware from design release to repeatable production across various products, including compute racks and medium-voltage switchgear. This role involves building a stage-gate NPI process that works across different product families, managing a TPM team, and ensuring portfolio-level program visibility.
Responsibilities

- Lead and develop the NPI TPM team, allocating resources across 6 product families.
- Own portfolio-level program visibility, providing status and risk reports that are actionable for leadership.
- Set transfer-to-manufacturing standards with manufacturing engineering, defining exit criteria for programs.
- Hold the RACI between TPMs and engineering technical leads to ensure clear ownership and decision-making.
Requirements
- 10+ years in NPI or program management at a hardware OEM or ODM, with 3+ years leading TPM or NPI teams.
- Built stage-gate processes yourself, defining gates, readiness criteria, and ECO discipline.
- Led TPM or NPI teams and developed the people in them, not just assigned their work.
- Managed programs spanning multiple product lines simultaneously and maintained program integrity.
- Killed a program too late at least once, demonstrating the ability to recognize signals and adjust strategies.
- Kept NPI lightweight enough that engineers used it instead of routing around it.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Experience with manufacturing transfer at new plants.
- Portfolio management tooling experience.
- Building teams from zero.
